Task: Choose a
topic that interests you and that could be the basic of an action research
project during your teaching practice in the next semester. And I must write turn at talk and critique the lesson when I observation.
Today, my teacher adds assignments about unit and I learned about
how to design the syllabus and how to write the lesson plan. It’s very
important for me because I must design the syllabus and write the lesson plan
when I am a teacher.
Design the syllabus. It’s has 4 unit include local, regional,
global and glocal. I must add indicators, time and
media into the unit. Then, I design lesson plan about local. When I write the lesson plan, its must be consistent with 4c
such as English for communication, English for culture, English for connection
and English for community.
I
think the lesson plan is important because I must use in the future. I must
write the lesson plan correctly and I must know the principle to write the
objectives. The good teacher should have a good lesson plan for teaching.
Writing is a skill
that could be called the most difficult. I must have the knowledge and skills
of the English language as well as more of grammar, vocabulary content. Facebook
is an online social networking service, whose name stems from the colloquial
name for the book given to students at the start of the academic year by some
university administrations in the United States to help students get to know
each other. I talked to foreigners through Facebook will help develop my
English skill.
When, I using
Facebook my foreigner friends will chat with me. I feel very happy because I
can useand develop English skill. I talk with foreigner friends, His
name is Muhammad Ali. He lives in Chiangmai of Thailand. I can change the
knowledge or information with foreigner friends on Facebook.
After, chatting with
foreigner. I have developed English skill. I feel that the knowledge I have
learned. I applied to talking to foreigners such as greeting, answer questions,
composing sentences when writing. I'm excited and am happy when to talk with
foreign friends.
Governments meeting to
discuss responses to global crime waves are urging countries to impose strict
penalties for the trafficking wildlife products like elephant ivory and rhino
horn. Members of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal
Justice Friday passed a resolution encouraging UN member states “to make
illicit trafficking in wild fauna and flora a serious crime” and to ensure
organized criminal groups are prosecuted.
Under UN rules, serious
crimes should receive sentences of up to four years in prison or more. In many
instances wildlife smugglers are released after paying fines significantly
lower than the value of the illegal goods.
“Today the commissioners took
a critical step forward by recognizing the serious, transnational and organized
nature of wildlife and forest crime. These crimes are not only putting the
survival of endangered species in peril, but are also threatening security and
sustainable economic development,” said Wendy Elliott, leader of WWF’s campaign
against wildlife crime. “We urge governments worldwide to use every tool
available to combat these crimes, which are also taking human lives.”

During the crime commission
meeting, governments identified links between the illegal trade in wildlife and
timber products and other transnational organized crimes such as drug and arms
running, human trafficking, money laundering and terrorism. The wildlife
trafficking resolution was put forward by the United States and Peru.
Yury Fedotov, Executive
Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, told journalists,
"Wildlife and forest crimes must be treated as serious crimes with minimum
punishments of four years or more so that full force of deterrence can be used
against criminals. The harder task, however, will be to curb the demand."
The poaching of elephants and
rhinos has reached record levels across Africa, but increased law enforcement
effectiveness is also needed throughout the trade chain and in consumer countries
like China, Thailand and Viet Nam.
Up to 30,000 elephants are
killed each year for their ivory tusks. In poaching epicentre Central Africa,
governments will meet next week to address the ongoing security crisis, which
is exacerbated by the proliferation of heavily-armed poachers.
“We are seeing that the
killing of wildlife is increasingly connected to horrific violence against the
rangers and community-members standing between these criminals and their
targets. It is long overdue for the punishments to fit the crimes in these
cases,” Elliott said.
Governments also agreed to a
proposal from Norway to address crimes at sea that impact upon the environment,
including fisheries crimes. Illegal fishing undermines efforts by governments
and responsible fishers to sustainably manage fisheries. It also threatens
livelihoods, food security and sustainable development, and costs the global
economy US $23 billion annually.
Elephants are large mammals of the family Elephant and the order
Proboscides. Traditionally, two species are recognized, the African elephant
and the Asian elephant. Thailand elephant is the national animal of Thailand.
It is important to Buddhism. And Thailand also had a flag with a white elephant
patterned stamp. If spoken to in the past. Elephants are very important in the
field of war. I have read the news aboutthe
trafficking wildlife products like elephant ivory and rhino horn.

John Denver
Tribute Links Musicians from Various Genres, Generations
Fifteen years after
his death in a small plane crash and more than 40
years after his first hit, John Denver’s songs are getting a new lease on life.
“The Music Is You,” is a new tribute that brings musicians from various genres
and generations together to re-imagine Denver’s biggest hits.
The musicians include
southern rockers My Morning Jacket, who cover “Leaving On A Jet Plane.” The 10-piece
alternative band Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros reinterprets “Wooden
Indian.” And multi-Grammy winning singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams delivers a
soulful take on “This Old Guitar.” Williams says she was determined to make the
song her own.
“You know, you don’t
want to do a John Denver song and sound like John Denver. I mean, you want to
show that ‘Wow, look how this song can be done,” she said.“You know, the more I
got into it, I was really moved. I was actually moved to tears a little ... you
can hear that in the song.”
Unlike some tribute
discs, “The Music Is You” was not produced to bring attention to an underrated
or forgotten artist. Denver was a superstar, selling millions of records,
packing concert venues the world over and starring in hit movies. He was
instantly recognizable, even when on humanitarian missions in the most remote
places.
Denver would have been
70 years old this December. Producers of the tribute CD
hope that the new versions of old favorites will please Denver’s loyal
followers while winning his music new fans. Among the new versions on the
release is Evan Dando of the Lemonheads singing "Looking for Space.”
Brandi Carlile, 32,
grew up listening to Denver’s music and his writing inspired her own career as
a singer-songwriter.
“I hope that people
that love John Denver’s music will look at this album and its tribute as an
honest to goodness inspired version of how we as singer-songwriters are
influenced by John Denver’s music and by his lyrics and his life," she
said. "I hope that they’ll see that none of us are trying to be John
Denver, because that is a bar that no one will reach.”
Teaming up with
Emmylou Harris, Brandi Carlile took on the daunting task of covering Denver’s
iconic “Take Me Home, Country Roads” for “The Music Is You.” They’ve made it
sound like their own song…that’s the mark of a good tribute.
John Denver, was an American singer,
songwriter, activist, and humanitarian. After traveling and living in numerous
locations while growing up in his military family, Denver began his music
career in folk music groups in the late 1960s. His greatest commercial success
was as a solo singer, starting in the 1970s. I have read the news about John
Denver Tribute Links Musicians from Various Genres, Generations.

Finally, I reckon John Denver is hero
of many people. He was an American singer, songwriter, activist, and
humanitarian. Although he died but everyone loved him also not forget his work. I have more knowledge
after reading this news and I can improve my reading skill better.
Listening is
one of the most important skills. How well you listen has a major impact on
your job effectiveness, and on the quality of your relationships with others. I
started listening to my favorite songs. Then listen to the YouTube website and interpretation
of what was heard. I listen to obtain information, listen to understand, listen
for enjoyment and listen to learn. Today I listen to VOA Learning English from
YouTube.
The VOA
above, this is the economics report in special English. Napoleon Hill believed
that if you think the right thoughts you can. In 1937, he published the book
"Think and Grow Rich." Napoleon Hill spent many years researching
financial success and observing people who had become rich. Although it was
published in the middle of The Great Depression, it was an immediate success.
"Think and Grow Rich" remains one of the most-popular non-fiction
books ever written. Forbes magazine says it has sold 70 million copies since it
first appeared, and continues to sell today. Napoleon Hill wrote at least ten
other books about success before his death in 1970. None of Hill's books came
close to selling as many copies as "Think and Grow Rich." But for
today's generation, "Think and Grow Rich" is now available in a
different form. Smarter Comics has released an illustrated version of the book.He says the book taught
him to change the way he thinks about money and success.
After
listening, I think if we read the book. I can have more information and
knowledge for you. When I read many book that mean you have more information.
You should start from read favorite book. What do you think about them?
